The construction of the teaching materials for Chinese as a second language is the core of Chinese as a foreign language enterprises, it is also the center link of international Chinese promotion, especially takes the intensive reading materials as the most important one.This paper selects the whole set of intensive reading material of Chinese as a Second Language "Chinese Textbook", which is the representative textbook domestically at present for the object of study. The paper sets up a storeroom for the "SHI" sentence pattern. It investigates from the category statistics, formation order and resuscitation of the "SHI" sentence pattern these three aspects, and provides a series of precise teaching material statistic data. Based on the basic compilatory principles and the interrelated theory of teaching materials evaluation, it analyzes and discusses some interrelated matters, then puts forward the writer's opinions and advises.As a sealing investigation, the writer strives to give an objective and static description to the distribution of the "SHI" sentence pattern in "Chinese Textbook" in order to provide a reference to the interrelated experts and scholar, hope that will be helpful to those who engage in compiling teaching materials henceforth.
