This dissertation is intended to give a detailed introduction to the origin as well as its development of Hakka dialects in Yilong area in Sichuan province. Thus we can provide some enlightenment to people while they are protecting the heritage of the ancestors. It has been more than 200 years since the Hakka inhabitants immigrated into Sichuan province. In the process, the Hakka dialects have been constantly affected and adopting the local dialects. Nowadays, the Hakka dialects not only preserve its own phonetic characteristics but also embody the tendency to accept the local dialects, that is, Yilong dialects.The first part gives a survey of the phonology of Hakka dialects, which is mainly composed of the initial, final, tone, the combination of initial and final, and syllabary. There are 20 initials, 39 finals and 6 tones. The initials p,p',m,f,v can't spell with the MCZuokou(撮口)rim, ts,ts',s may spell with the MCKaikou(开口)rim and Hekou(合口)rim; t,t',k,k',h,(?) may spell with the MCKaikou(开口)rim ,Qichi(齐齿)rim and Hekou(合口)rim; tc,tc',c,n may spell with the MCQichi(齐齿)rim and Zuokou(撮口) rim。m can be the consonant syllable to make meanings independently.The second part is devoted to the analysis of the Hakka dialects in Yilong area. It can be described as follows. The first point is the comparison and the contrast between the Hakka dialects in Yilong and the phonology of Guangyun. The second point mainly focuses on the source of the Hakka dialects as well as the influence made by the Hakka inhabitants and their pedigrees. The third point mainly deals with the present feature of the Hakka dialects.The last part is to summarize the phonetic features of the Hakka dialects in Yilong area and make a prediction about the development of the dialect.
