Research On Ideology Factor Of American Policy Towards China In Cold Time (1949-1972)

Sino-U.S relationship is an important part in the international relationships. As two key countries in the world, the relationship of Sino-U.S influences the international politics and economy situation. Studying on American policy towards China and some crucial affairs of the two nations, can be some help of summarizing experience and lessons from the past history and reflecting on the future American policy towards China and relation between the two countries in present age.For most of the history time, foreign policy of every country is based on its nation's benefit ,and influenced by various factors, among them the ideology factor plays an important role. However, in the cold war time, ideology factor possessed an important part, to most degree it affected American policy toward China, and this was a special and unneglecting factor in cold war years.This article, from the perspective of microcosmic, reviewed the changing process of American policy towards China in cold war time, introduced the factors of ideology of Sino-U.S relationship, and the effect and impact it made in the American policies towards China. Part one, generally analyzes researches of home and abroad, and upon them, the author brings forward her opinion and new study angle. Part two, briefly summarizes before the world war two(also before the cold war), the origin of China and America and Chinese communist party regime as the background of American policy toward China.Part three, mainly analyzes in different phase of cold war, various ideologies that influence America policies toward China, including official, unofficial, and Chinese communist regime. And at the same time, discusses their mutual affect and infection. Part four, separately analyzes Soviet Union factor in the ideology of China and America relation. The cold war was mainly the"battle"of Soviet Union and America, and the Soviet Union factor has an important role. As Chinese communist party, Soviet Union was the"big brother"and the beginning of the war, so its influence to China went without saying.Part five, through Taiwan issue , analyzes the concrete effect and impact of ideology factor in cold war time.In the last part, the article represents different characteristics of ideology factor of China and America relation in different period in cold war time. And finally, the author proposes her idea of future development of the two countries and best wishes.
