Self-control ability is necessary factor for single body to carry out duty, to cooperate with others and successful adapt to society. The period of middle school is a critical stage of physical-development for teenagers. The developmental state in their psychology will affect their whole life. But the serious survival competition in modern society and the heavy stress for entering a higher school make the students'psychology become unhealthier. How to control owns emotion behavior and mentality is an impending subject for modern middle school students. The teenagers are absent of the self-control ability for emotion and easily neglected or depressed by adult society. The self-control ability is very important for teenagers in managing their physiology psychology or behaviors. The study for teenagers'self-control ability will provide scientific proof to the teenagers'self-management and the psychological worker. It will also provide rich scientific material for the investigation of the self-control ability. The study is based on the questionnaire of 737 middle school students from junior one to senior three in Yifeng county and analysis the difference between the students'sex, grade, origin, students category and school category. The study also analyze the correlation between the students'self-control ability and their parental style. The results showed:1. The differences of self-control ability ,behavior control, thought control are significant in junior school, the junior one is higher than the other two grades. But in emotion control, there is no significant in junior school. Also the self-control ability of senior students have no significant difference. The difference between students self-control ability in junior school and senior school is significant, furthermore the junior students are higher than the senior students.2. The differences of self-control ability are no clear in junior student's sex. In senior school the difference is clear in sex for emotion control and the boy are better than the girl.3. (1) The difference is no significant in junior school for one child of one couple or not, origin and the middle school in countryside or city. But in thought control the interaction is significant with one child of one couple or not and the middle school in countryside or city; the interaction is also significant with sex, grade, one child of one couple or not and origin. In behavior control the interaction is clear with grade and the middle school in countryside or city; In self-control ability, behavior control, emotion control, thought control there are significant difference in origin and the middle school in countryside or city. (2) Key middle school or not and public middle school or not has no main effect in senior student's self-control ability. But in general self-control, emotion control and thought control, key class or not have main effect. In behavior control key class or not have no main effect. In behavior control the interaction is clear with sex, grade and public middle school or not.4. The teenagers'self-control ability have close relationship with their parental style, different self-control ability level in teenagers have clear difference at every factor of parental style. The parental style of higher self-control ability student is better than the lower.MM3 and FF3 in parental style have predictable function at self-control ability in junior students. MM3 also have predictable function at self-control ability in senior students.Base on the above conclusions, a few educational suggestions are put forward for promoting the level of self-control ability and enabling the parental style scientific.
