Study On Bridge Of The Song And Jin Dynasties

In the ancient bridge history the bridge construction of the Song and Jin dynasties had the prominent status in China. On one hand they had inherited the ancient bridge construction achievement, for example, the Luochihong Bridge decorated on the clay brick, which was popular in the Han dynasty, still laid above the Jin Ming pond; and the primitive strings of arches was still applied to bridge in the Song and Jin dynasties. On the other hand, the bridge construction of the Song and Jin dynasties was creative and innovative, such as the building of Hongqiao which was often called Non-foot Bridge was constructed to solve the traffic in the Bian river; the construction of giant beam bridges in Fujian Province; the construction of suitable bateau-Bridge, Xiangzi Bridge, and so on. The bridge of the Song and Jin dynasties was also creative in the structure, for example, Shuimuchenji's widely used, the Luoyang bridge's raft foundation, the appearance of the symmetry stones which combining the structure and decoration.The application of the new bridge form and the creation of style's structure prominently show the Song and Jin dynasties bridges'higher achievement, inheriting the Sui and Tang dynasties'technology in bridge and were spreaded to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Their achievement was very valuable both in the bridge history and the technology.At present,there are lots of books about the ancient bridge history in China ,but certain dynasty's investigations are few. Therefore, in this article I take the bridge of the Song and Jin dynasties as the research object, attempting to investigate the structural style and construction technology to help us to understand the bridge in the Song and Jin dynasties .We hope it can contribute to modern bridge construction in China.This article mainly includs below contents: 1st, the introduction. This part mainly showed the object, scope and the method of this article; 2nd, the ancient bridge outline. This part gave the explanation of "the bridge" first, and then discussed the ancient bridge construction of each period in China, and finally introduced the bridge of Dongjing in Northern Song dynasty. 3rd, the brief introduction of the bridge of the Song and Jin dynasties.In this part,it first introduced the science and technology context of the Song and Jin dynasties, and then describe the types of the bridges and their geographic distribution in the Song and Jin dynasties, and finally was the Dongjing's bridges of the Northern Song dynasty. Because of a lot of the rivers in Dongjing are vertically and horizontally, in the article we carried on the classified elaboration of it. 4th, the predominant bridge types in the Song and Jin dynasties are the beam bridge, the arched bridge, the cable bridge, the bateau-bridge, so in this part we conducted the structures and the pattern analysis research on these four kinds of bridge types and some special bridge types. 5th, the bridge construction technology in the Song and Jin dynasties. This part conducted the investigation form the address and pattern choices, the foundation, the pier, superstructure of the bridges. 6th, the decoration art. This part mainly discussed the bridge and environment, and the decoration art of bridges. 7th, the concluding remark. This part mainly included the main contents, the insufficiency and the forecast of this article.
