With the wide use of the computer, the effect and status of the music software are now receiving increasing attention from music teachers. In the vocal music teaching of Normal University, the application of the computer music software is still in the exploration stage because of the limits of teaching contents and teaching conditions. The traditional direct teaching method only depending on the mouth and ear still shares the main position in the real teaching. As a result, many problems met in the teaching can't be solved easily by the traditional music teaching models. Through the author's own teaching experience, he realized that computer music software plays a positive role in solving these problems. In the article, the author will make a tentative statement on the teaching method of computer music software aiding the teaching in order to further improve the teaching efficiency.The article is divided into three parts: preface, body and conclusion. In the preface, the author will mainly talk about the present teaching problems and the theoretical and realistic significance of studying the subject. There are four parts in the body. First, the author will make a brief introduction on the definitions and characteristics of the computer music software and the four common music softwares used in vocal music teaching to music majors in Normal University. Second, the author will state the relationship between computer music software and the vocal music teaching to music majors, in which the author will respectively, from five parts, state the feasibility and necessity of music software aiding the vocal music teaching. Third, through some examples, the author will respectively introduce the using method of four common computer music softwares (automatic accompaniment software, acoustic instrument software, notation software and digital recording software) in the practical teaching. Fourth, the author mainly put forward the potential problems and solving method in the application. Last, the author makes a conclusion of his own opinion according to the above analysis and statement.
