The Discussion About GU Taiqing's Poetry

Literature was prosperous in Qing Dynasty, and so is the feminine literature. There were many female writers in that Age, and GU Taiqing is the outstanding one. She wrote 826 pieces of poems which is the researching object of this thesis.Started with the self-expression in GU Taiqing's poems, the thesis completely interprets her poems with the methods of traditional poem appreciation and historically social analysis, which is to reveal the unique artistic charm of her poetry. GU Taiqing suffered many a setback during her life, and created abundant words. The present study about her is in the peak hour. GU Taiqing expressed her strong affection in her poems. In them, when get closed to the nature, she released her emotion and was joyful and sorrowful along with the nature; she expressed the happiness of travel ling to wooded mountains with her friends, the appreciation with them on literature, the feeling of reluctance to part when snapped off the willow to set off them. These all show the understanding and solicitude of a female writer to the natural beauty and friendship.Furthermore, GU Taiqing's poems is social. She didn't describe her own sentiment, but connected with her understanding and thought of country, society and life to represent her life. We can know not only her living and innermost being, but also a certain aspect of the feminine living condition in Qing Dynasty. Her language in poems is natural and clear, and she commonly depicted the things and feelings simply, however, which could yet be elegant and gentle. So the charlatanistic of GU Taiqing's poetry is unique.
