The Study On Zheng FangKun

Zheng Fangkun is a famous writer in Fujian province in the early Qing Dynasty. As a local official of Hebei and Shandong provinces in the north of China for a long time, he gets a great accomplishment in politics. Besides that, as called "The leader of literary" by the people of his times, Zheng Fangkun was extolled strongly for his artistic attainments by another famous writers in the Qing Dynasty like Hang Shijun, Wu Wenhuan, and so on. Zheng Fangkun is especially good at poem, and his style of poem not only extensive synthesized lots of great ancient writers' advantage, but also was deeply influenced by the Wan Shizhen's theory of poem. Zheng Fangkun left many works, which we can used like "The Root Of Sugarcane", "The Comment On Poems Of Fujian", "The Biographical Sketch Of Famous Poets In The Early Qing Dynasty", "The Comment On Poems Of Five Dynasties Period", and many other works of him were lost. Based on the extant works of Zheng Fangkun, what this thesis analyzes includes his art work, his family, and his life. Here we approach the art style of Zheng Fangkun, for the reason of style's establishment, the strong affects of traditional academic study and styles of all the great ancient writers. This paper investigates Zheng Fangkun and his family, focus on their lives and art works, and we can have a overall grasp of all the features and changes of the style of Zheng Fangkun's art works.
