Zhang Jie is not only one of the 20th century Chinese most outstanding femininewriters but also a sensitive and caustic, exquisite and frank writer with the intense femaleawareness and attentive eyes on the development of two sexes. More than 30-year's novelcreation, she always abides by her own unique creation standpoint. The course of thecreation of her novel is also the one which she unceasingly seeks her spirit. Throughreading Zhang Jie' novel, in which she puts herself into other's shoes and switchesdifferent roles, we may discover that her imagination entitles the routine daily world withmore color and soul.This article will be divided into three parts around the key point of the relationshipbetween two sexes, namely, childlike innocent sincerity, blind suspicion, helplessperplexity. The author tries to illustrate the view through a series of changes in the threeparts. At the beginning of her creation, she chooses the theme of MAN and LOVE. As tochildlike innocent sincerity, she has portrayed the perfect images of two sexes, Plato-likelove and maternal myth. However, along with the depth into the real world, she has thesuspicion to the perfect images of two sexes. Then she starts to unfold the opposition oftwo sexes and subverts the perfect images of two sexes and even appears the plot ofkilling the husband blindly. After the complete collapse of the opposition of two sexes,the author develops a sense of helpless perplexity. She has carried on rational reflectiontowards the relationship between male and female. In her later works, there are loneness,isolation between two sexes and the loss of male social role.The three parts constitutediverse pictures of relationship between two sexes. At the same time the mysteriousfeeling is filled in her recent novels,there indicates her new tendency, it need look foranswer from her new work.
