Marriage Condition Research Of The Chinese In Batavia In The 18～(th) To 19～(th)

The publication of Gong An Bu is the reappearance of real condition of Batavia foreign citizen of Chinese origin society in the 18^th and 19^th. Case of marriage is one of the relatively centralized scopes which reflect not only inherit and evolvement of foreign citizen of Chinese origin marriage custom but also some conflict and amalgamation between Chinese and local marriage customs. Based on Gong An Bu, this paper research the Batavia foreign citizen of Chinese origin and give some analysis on their marriage custom and condition, discussing the population society condition and marriage management system of Batavia foreign citizen of Chinese origin. According to these researches, this paper also gives reasonable analysis and comment about marriage conception evolvement and explains some influence on Batavia foreign citizen of Chinese origin society because of the change of marriage custom and conception.
