Research On The Name Of The Network Campus Novel In Sociolinguistics

The campus novel is a kind of modern novel that regards living in the campus as subjectmatter, taking youthful breath as spiritual quality in general. The campus novel that appears inthe network is called as the network campus novel. Present relevant researches both home andabroad are mainly on literature and art, but the research in terms of linguistics is rare. Thispaper investigates the new changes of language use in the name of the network campus novelin terms of sociolinguistics mainly, and then reveals the co-variation of language and thesociety. In the first part, we have collected almost ten thousand names of the network campusnovel, described its characteristic of language according to the statistic and analysis. Wemainly investigated pronunciation, vocabulary, syntactic structure and language application,and revealed social factor, cultural factor and social psychological factor. In the second part,we investigated on the degree of approval of language use in the name of the network campusnovel. It indicated the deep layer social factor that influences the use of language and theattitude of language users by the investigation on language users of different age, sex,occupation and educational history, and predicted the development trend of language use inthe name of the network campus novel.Generally speaking, by analyzing the language characteristic of the name of the networkcampus novel, and investigating on the degree of approval of its language use, we found thatthe use of the language is influenced by social factor. At the same time, its development andchange reflects social development and change. Language and the society are covariant. Wehope the research on the language use of the name of the network campus novel itself and itsrelation with society, culture, social psychology in this paper; can provide some referentialvalue for research of sociolinguistics and society, culture and social psychology.
