Study Of The Netlanguage Cases

Network language is a kind of network custom terminology which is created and used by internet surfers for their own need and preference.It is a social dialect which is popular in the Bulletin Board System and chatting rooms.Its characteristic mainly manifests in vocabulary. With the development of network,network language has spred to some contexts,such as oral communication,mobilephone short messages and daily writtenwriting,etc. Based on the four cases"yimeir","meimei","88", smile-symbol":-)"and concerned words or symbols,this article makes a social survey of their application in different contexts.Through the comparative analysis of survey datas, we describe the application of those words or symbols in different contexts and discuss the possible reasons which influence the application,then aggregate to point to an area the factors which constrain the transmission of network language,and provide theoretical support for network language's guiding and standardizing.The article concludes the possible reasons which network language is popular in network communication are that it has the unique ideographic function and rich additional colors,and that it accords with people's acceptable psychology and adapts to the quick but not face-to-face network communication way. In network communication,the common words are possibly spred to contexts besides network.The factors which constrain the transmission are:the characteristic which form,sound and meaning of network language are combined,the relation between additional colors of network language and contexts;signified of network language and people's contact frequency;and principal of language development. In order to make Chinese develop healthily, we should guide and standardize the application of network language ,give attention to social development and the development of new words, and strengthen the language standard consciousness and sentiment to Chinese and traditional culture of language workers and learners,and the style consciousness of language users.
