Guangzhou, in the South of China, has been a major commercial and trade city since ancient times. It is a city combined western and eastern culture, as well the development of its exhibition and development of the International Convention consistent thread. Canton Fair is important in its exhibition historical stageThis paper is based on the history of Guangzhou Exhibition, to focus on the Canton Fair, which is to analyze the whole process of the Guangzhou Exhibition from start to the development.First of all, it outlines the exhibition history of China and the world; then it inspects the origin of the Guangzhou Exhibition and the development during the Opium War till the period of the Republic of China. Subsequently, this paper is trailing with the development of the Canton Fair, which also is the development of the Guangzhou exhibition history right after the China liberation, it analyzes that the Guangzhou Exhibition, as the facilitating role, is to promote on China's socialism development and Guangzhou urban construction as well as to display the culture of Lingnan.Finally, it analyzes the factors existing in the Guangzhou Exhibition and come up with strategies and future prospects should strengthen the government's macro-control functions.
