Significance And Limitation Of Althusser's "Epistemological Rupture"

Althusser was a famous Marxist of France, who represented Structuralism of West Marxism. He had a series of distinctive ideas about Marx and Marxism. He opposed to Humanist Marxism from the purpose of defending the Marxism. He thought that there was a rupture in the course oh Marx's thought developing.The "Epistemological Rupture" of Althusser, it meant there exist two Marx. The ideas of Marx in the early stage were different of that in the later. His idea was new and original. Marxism is not absolute truth. Marx was not a Marxist when he was born. Althusser defied the young Marx, and affirmed the old Marx. But there was something of unilateral. He thought the "Rupture" existed absolutely, and he sundered the inheritability between the young Marx and old Marx.
