Both sides defend each other on the basis of three key points: "the grassroots' opinions", "knowledge / intellectuals' opinion" and "the Integration with the Western World". That is behind the common understanding of "Personal Writing", "the Language Itself and "the Pure Poetry", which is hidden under the phenomenon. Chapter Three focuses on the few representatives of the poets: Oyang Jianghe, Si Chuan, Wang Jiaxin, Cheng Dongdong, Zhuo Yongxin and so on. Through this chapter, we can have a glimpse of the "Intellectuals' Writing". Chapter Four analyses in detail the aesthetic features of the rise of "Personal Writing", which makes the 90s and 80s poetry become an "an profound feature which snaps easily". Meanwhile, the construction of the poetry conception has become complete day by day, however, its inner shortcomings were also exposed. The constructive conception on poetry of Intellectuals' writing and the poem text brought some positive effect on the growth of Chinese modern poetry, but the inner shortcomings eventually resulted in its downfall.
