The Investigation And Study On The Demerits In MoZi XianGu

MoZi XianGu is the best one in the exegetical works on MoZi that we can find now and have made great achievement in exegetical studies and collation.But this works isn't flawless and leave many errors .The errors will prevent the development of the studies on the language of MoZi and the Chinese of the Pre-Qin period.Through a comparative investigation and studying on MoZi XianGu's achievements in exegetics and collation.The author discovered some shortcomings and mistakes in MoZi XianGu on explanation,punctuation and collation.In respect of explanation,XianGu sometimes can't offer correct or accurate explanations for the ancient words and even didn't offer explanation for the words that the readers have difficulty in understanding.Some punctuation in MoZi XianGu can't suit the meanings of the words,context or grammars.We also see the case :XianGu collated some correct words or sentences and neglected the mistakes.Mistaken collation and doubtful collation also be discovered.Although many scholars(for example:Liang Qichao,Zhang Chunyi,Cao Yaoxiang,Wu Rulun, Yu Chang,Tan Jiefu,Wang Huanbiao,Wu Yujiang,Cen Zhongmian) have researched and compensated the shortage or leakage in the MoZi XianGu,there is still a lot to restudy.The author will try to investigate and regulate the shortage or leakage on the base of studying other's achievement and try his best to write down some reading notes to clarify his own views.The author expects the works will provide some useful materials and proofs for the study of the history of Chinese lauguage( especially, Chinese words),etc.
