The puzzle of Oil Painting Nationalization in China has been with us nearly since oil painting first came and no programme now can be accepted by most of us. Numbers of intelligent artists have been struggling with this and have provided some different probabilities. The experience of Popa and Popa Oil Painting Training Class, to a certian extent, made an important contribution to China's way of oil painting nationalization, and it is also irradiative and referential experience for us to research splendid Chinese tradition and oil painting nationalization. This essay tries to arouse readers' re-recognization and further think with the oil painting environment by its first effort of excavating and studying Popa and his oil painting training class in China and Zhang Shifan's art and education thoughts.
