The Philosophic Significance About The Research Of Artificial Neural Network Technology

Using computer technique, artificial neural networks (ANN) simulate structures, information transportation and intelligence activity of biology's neural networks. It is used in data classification and pattern recognition.This paper introduces the development of the artificial neural network and its basic theories ; describes its characteristic and superiority from three aspects of artificial neural network that are study function , the association memory function and high speed sought optimization solution ; The research methodology on the ANN and the factors affecting the rapid and normal development of the ANN are discussed and analyzed. Some conclusions are given based on the methodology of scientific researches. It is pointed out that the competition is the important precondition that enables the theory of the ANN to exist and to be perfected constantly, the success is the important factor that results in the ANN to reach the high tide of research, and the equal attention to theoretical and applied research is the important assurance that enables the ANN to be developed in a normal and healthy way.Its new development in 1990's is introduced and discussed in this paper. According to the characteristics of artificial neural networks, the author presents some points of view about the prospects of artificial neural networks in the future. The profound and far reaching effect can be predicted with development of artificial neural networks research.
