This structure of the dissertation includes an introduction, chapter one, chapter two,chapter three and an epilogue.The dissertation makes a texture that researches of the history of Vietnam's traditionalmusic, and mentions to the subsisted problem and myself's examining.The chapter one divides into 3 sections: "The history of Vietnam's zheng", "Vietnam'szheng in society status" and "Vietnam zheng's form and performance".The content ismainly about the situation regarding Vietnam's zheng.To explore the history and form ofVietnam's zheng through the written history of China's zheng and Vietnam's zheng as wellas my personal on-the-spot experiences in Vietnam.The chapters two introduces representative sects and characteristic of tuning ways ofVietnam's traditional zheng music.The chapter three compares Vietnam's zheng and China's zheng. By way of consultingthe performance's technic of China's zheng,makes an inquiry into the characteristic of thetechnic of Vietnam's zheng.The epilogue say about the writer that will continue building Vietnam's traditional musicand the plan of reserting Vietnam's zheng music teacher-training.
