With rapid development of vocational education in China, Higher Vocational Colleges as an important part have cultured lots of high quality laborer and practical talents. However, some Higher Vocational Colleges students infatuate in internet, just like excessive drinking, drugging abuse and gambling. It brings a lot of problems, such as learning efficiency decline, interpersonal relationships stress, spiritual and psychological pressure increase, often not go home all-night, leaving school and even crime. Internet Addiction is a non-biochemical addiction,refers to the phenomenon that leads to the obvious damage to the person's psychological and social function because of the excessive use of Internet. Anxiety is a kind of personal general emotion experience. Spielberger divided anxiety into state-anxiety and trait-anxiety. State- anxiety is a kind of personal temporary emotion status, while trait-anxiety is relatively stable individual difference of anxiety tendency. Self-esteem is a kind of ego consciousness, the value judgment to oneself, and an important spiritual pillar when adolescent students participating in society. This study has obtained the relationships between Higher Vocational College students' internet addiction , state-trait anxiety and self-esteem through an investigation and analysis of a questionnaire among Higher Vocational College students, also has put forward corresponding suggestions in preventing Higher Vocational College students' internet addiction.To explore the relationships between Higher Vocational College students' internet addiction , state-trait anxiety and self-esteem, a total of 378 students were studied and investigated by using CIAS compiled by professor Chen Shuhui from Taiwan University, STAI-From Y compiled by Spielerger, Charles and Gorsuch, and SES compiled by Rosenberg. By investigating and analysizing,the following are the results:First, there are difference on Higher Vocational College students' internet addiction tendency between grades, gender and the only-child or not. The main effect (on Higher Vocational College students'internet addiction tendency,) is significantly different between gender and grades internet addiction tendency of first grade students is significantly higher then that of second grade students, internet addiction tendency of male students is significantly higher then that of female students. The main effect is not significantly different between the only-child or not. The interaction effect is significantly different between gender and grades.Second , there are differences on Higher Vocational College students' state-anxiety and trait-anxiety between grades, gender and the only-child or not. Higher Vocational College students' state-anxiety and trait-anxiety have relative independence and stability. The main effect and interaction effect of state-anxiety and trait-anxiety are not significantly different between gender, grades and the only-child or not.Third, there are differences on Higher Vocational College students' self-esteem between grades, gender and the only-child or not. The main effect of self-esteem is not significantly different between gender, grades and the only-child or not. The interaction effect of self-esteem is significantly different between grades, gender and the only-child or not. A further analysis shows that self-esteem score of the not only-child is significantly higher then that of the only-child in female students of first grade, and self-esteem score of female students is significantly higher then that of male students in not the only-child of first grade.Fourth, there are not difference on Higher Vocational College students' internet addiction tendency, state-anxiety, trait-anxiety and self-esteem between the only-child or not.Fifth, there are significantly correlation between Higher Vocational College students' internet addiction tendency, state-anxiety, trait-anxiety and self-esteem.Sixth, Multiple Linear Regression analysis shows that Higher Vocational College students' trait-anxiety can significantly forward predict internet addiction tendency, however state-anxiety and self-esteem cannot.
