Emotion and emotion regulation is the hotspot and advancing topic in the multidisciplianary study as current developmental psychology, educational psychology, health psychology and clinical psychology. Emotion regulation include two items: to regulate or by regulate, in this paper, we defind it by regulate. In recent years, due to functional brain imaging technology's rapid development, people have already used brain imaging technology in a wide range. Recent imaging work has used expression faces as the main material and investigated two types, attentional control and cognitive change, achieved some results.However, these studies still have some differences, there are also needed to further explore: such as whether attention can control all types of emotions? How to regulate emotions? Did stimulation which demonstrated in the centre vision had different emotions processing characteristics is caused by its own emotional stimulation, or by the attention fixation which arised by cognitive tasks (instruction),for example request subjects to evaluate or classify the stimulation materials ? In most consideration people are using visual stimulation, and neglect the emotional impact of the unconscious, but those stimulation what do not may be seen but really exist can influent people's cognition? Are there differences in people's awareness? Whether different cognitive regulation will influence people's identification? So our study aimed at investigating different cognitive tasks on regulating expressive face processing's ERP characteristics in the state of attention and non-attention.This study included two experiments, every also included two tasks, all of which adopted the experimental paradigm of equiprobability. In the first experiment, the subjects were asked to wear a red-green-dimensional glass to view different pictures and complete the task. Task one:Judge the picture of the graphic signs, and reacte to all the pictures. Task two:Judge the picture's emotional messages and button response. Task two:Judge the picture's emotional messages and button response.The main results in the study were: (1) Under the non-attention condition, in the object judgment duty, the compound stimulation's wave amplitude difference is remarkable on processing early composition P100,N100, but in the emotionality judgment duty, the compound stimulation wave amplitude does not have the difference. N170 has come under the cognition duty remarkable influence, but the stimulation type's characteristic performance is not obvious. Later period composition P300 has also come under the cognition duty remarkable influence, later period composition LPC is not influenced by the cognition duty, but also not by the stimulation type. (2) After rejecting the Mondrians image, the pure fear face, the happy face, the neutral face and the building analysis indicated that in the early processing stage of object judgment duty, four kind of stimulation types displayed the remarkable difference, but has vanished to the later period. In the emotionality judgment duty, four kind of stimulation type's processing does not have the difference throughout. (3)In the attention conditions, in processing early composition P100, N100, the people also occupy the structure code stage to the stimulation processing, the mood information have not been processed. On N170, the face emotionality information has not affected the stimulation processing. Regarding the later period composition, the expression face and the neutral face's processing process difference is remarkable, mainly displays on the LPC composition, this composition not only receives the influence of emotional information but also receives the adjustment of the cognition duty.Synthesizes the above findings, we draw the following conclusion:First, in the non-attention state, people will not be able to process the stimulation which don't enter the attention, including emotional information. Stimulate processing is influenced by the cognitive task , and the brain will allocate the attentional resources in accordance with the requirements of the cognitive task. For those foveal stimulate has the right to enter the attention but does not be required to be response by the cognitive tasks, people will deal with the situation according to the occupier of the attention resources.Second, in the attention conditions, on the early composition, stimulate processing is influenced by the cognitive task, but the emotional nature of the stimulating is not significantly influence the processing. The difference in the face processing is caused by the structure coding of face. On the advanced components, stimulation's processing does not only impact by the cognitive task, but also by their nature of emotion. In the attention conditions, for those foveal stimulation that can enter the attention but does not require response by cognitive tasks, the brain will allocate the attention resources according by the occupied situation.
