Research Of Modal Particles In The MianYang Dialect

This paper attempts to conduct an in-depth research on the modal particles in the Mianyang dialect, mainly presents research of its usage by the way of analysis and investigation. Comparing the modal particles of mandarin with Chengdu dialect that mostly represents Sichuan dialect, describing the likeness and difference between them, from the perspective of a total the author shows its rules and characters.This research is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction of definition, character of modal particles; phonetic character of Mianyang dialect; sorts of modal particles in Mianyang dialect. It also explains the motives, goals and results of research. The following four chapters describe the usage and meaning of modal particles in declarative sentence, interrogative sentence, imperative sentence, and expletive sentence. The author articulates the features of modal particles through massive research gathered from language.Through the basic research of the modal particles in the Mianyang dialect, the author shows the special features and rules of language. This will rebound to the systemic research for grammar of modal particles in the Mianyang dialect.
