Study On Henan Dialect In The North Of Jiangxi Province

Henan dialect of northern Gan is one part of Henan dialect away from Henan Province It resulted from immigrants of Henan Province in the north of Jiangxi Province. There are lots of Henan dialectal islands in 12 countys of northern Gan arround Poyang lake. About 100 thousands people speak Henan dialect in more than 600 villages there. The article thoroughly investigated and analyzed appearing, distributing and state of the dialectal island by the statistics.This paper describes in details the phonetic and lexical systems of two Henan dialectal islands, compares them with Henan dialects and surrounding dialects. We thought Henan dialect of northern Gan and Henan dialect have the close original relations, the two have the uniformity, the similarity in many aspects. But they have the trifle difference, this is the language mutually effects. Accordingly we can find out character of Henan dialect in the north of Jiangxi Province.The final part is dedicated to a discussion on language contact and language change, and investigates language life of Henan dialectal islands.
