A Study On Several Phonetic Characteristics Of Tianjin Downtown Dialect

This paper records the phonetic characteristics of Tianjin downtown dialect in detail. Based on a synchronic description, this paper gives out tentative explanations to the phonetic deviation in Tianjin downtown dialect to reveal it's diachronic evolution with the relevant linguistic methods, according to the different phonetic characteristics. There are six parts in all.Chapter 1 It gives an introduction of the geography position, history evolution and population circs of Tianjin downtown, and the formation of it's dialect. Also, the meaning of this paper, the methodology and the source of the material in this paper are also introduced in this part.Chapter 2 The description of the phonology of Tianjin downtown dialect is made first. Then this paper induces phonetic characteristics, and gives out a description of the special compound vowel existing in Tianjin downtown dialect. mainly aims at the description of the consecutive changing dialects of "two word group", and its changing types.Chapter 3 A deep-going discussion about voiced initials of Tianjin downtown dialect is made in this part. This chapter describes in detail the evolutional types of the ancient voiced initials, and discusses the exceptions and its causes during the evolution.Chapter 4 It is about the research of the Zhi group initials, with the description of their evolutional types, and their distributional mode and types among "old group ", "middle", and "new group".Chapter 5 how entering tone of middle Ages is split into different factions is discussed. It inspects the categories of the factions and evolutional rules, and further discusses the evolution of the phenomenon and its causes exceptions.Chapter 6 It discusses the trend of development of Tianjin downtown dialect, under the strongly influences of Putonghua, and other social factors.
