The relationship between emotion and cognition, especially the relationship between emotion and memory is a widespread issue in the field of cognitive psychology and emotional psychology. The research focused on the influence of the emotional state of the depression and anxiety on their explicit and implicit memory before. In recent years, more and more researchers induce the subject's experimental emotion by different means to study the influence of this kind of experimental emotion on individual's explicit and implicit memory. The aim of this research is to study the influence of affective priming effect on normal individual's explicit and implicit memory, using the method of affective priming to prim the experimental emotion. The research focused on the influence of emotion on individual's explicit and implicit memory by the application of the affective priming paradigm and the extended model of PDP. DMDX stimulus presentation software was used to control the presentation of the stimulus. In the experiment, the affective priming material is a total of 90 pictures selected from the IAPS, including 30 positive pictures,30 negative pictures and 30 neutral pictures; the material used to study and test is a total of 120 emotional words, including 40 positive words, 40 negative words and 40 neutral words; the material used to assess the emotional state is PANAS. The experimental design is 3 (emotion pictures :positive pictures, negative pictures, neutral pictures )×3(word type:positive words, negative words, neutral words) completely randomized design. The whole experiment includes three steps: affective priming, studying and testing. There is an interference task between study and test. There are 132 subjects, including 72 male students and 60 female students. After seeing 30 pictures, the subjects were required to assess the happiness of the 60 words by 1-3 point scale, count their pulse, and then recognize the affective words. The PDP function was used to calculate the R and A.The main findings are as follows:(1) Picture types and scores types have significant main effects on Subjects' emotion self-assessment scores (F2,252=9.529, p <0.05; F1,252 = 136.794, p<0.05). It means the emotional pictures prime emotions successfully.(2) Pictures types and emotional words have significant main effects on Subjects' recognition error rates (F2,333 =3.056, p < 0.05 ; F2,333 = 3.017, p < 0.05 ) .It means there exists mood-congruent effect in the recognition.(3) Picture types and emotional words types have significant main effects on R (F = 5.279, p<0.05; F = 3.251, p<0.05) , but only exists on positive picture. There are no differences between the R on negative pictures. It means individual's explicit memory is influences by positive emotion, but not influenced by negative emotion.(4) Picture types and emotional words types have not significant main effects on A (F=1.046, p>0.05; F=0.032, p>0.05) . It means individual's implicit memory is not influenced by emotion state. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) The effect using affective priming paradigm to prim experimental emotions is very significant.(2) Individual's explicit memory was influenced by the positive affective priming effect , but was not influenced by the negative affective priming effect.(3) Individual's implicit memory was not influenced by the affective priming effect.
