A Study On Phonological Aspects Of Beilu Pinghua In Ningyuan County Of Hunan Province

The present paper is a study of the phonological aspects of Beilu Pinghua in Ningyuan county of Hunan province. First, the author describe the phonetic system of Beilu Pinghua by field research——"Horizontal description and induction", and then conclude the characteristics of Beilu Pinghua by contrasting it with ancient dialects——"Vertical comparative research". The author not only make the study based on traditional methods, but also make it by modern acoustic experiments and using the functions of the corpus.This thesis consists of five chapters.The first chapter,"Generality", generally introduces Ningyuan county' s location,population,historical turning and its language using .It also introduces Beilu location,population and language using,points out the methods and effects of the research.The second chapter is"Horizontal description and induction". In this part, the author describes the phonetic system of Beilu Pinghua in Ningyuan county of Hunan province . This phonetic system includes 19 initials, 32 vowels and 6 tones. After this description, the author analyse collocation system , syllables structure ,literary reading and colloquial reading and the tone sandhi of Beilu Pinghua, and then makes its homonym list.The third chapter is"Vertical comparative research".The author compares roundly the sound and phonetic system of Beilu Pinghua with that of"Guang Yun"and concludes its own characteristics.Rest.The rest of the paper points out the contact and interaction between Beilu Ping Dialect and Beilu Mandarin Dialect in Ningyuan county of Hunan province.
