| This thesis carry on the preliminary research about the concept of music history that Carl Dahlhaus expressed in《Foundation of Music History》. The article mainly studies the following issues: 1. The realistic motives and the theory background of the concept of music history by Carl Dahlhaus. 2. The problem structure and basic contents of the concept of music history by Carl Dahlhaus. 3. The issue of evaluation of the concept of music history by Carl Dahlhaus. At the conclusion, the article discusses briefly the proper issue about the concept of studying Chinese Western music history by Carl Dahlhaus.The article stated that there are three following major reasons to form the concept of music history by Carl Dahlhaus. 1. At that time ,the circumstances of academic research that view of the western historiography involving in the crisis frequently caused that Carl Dahlhaus pay attention to the basal axiology of the music historiography. 2. And the western new music fulfillment made Carl Dahlhaus reconsider the fundamental ontology and epistemology of music history. 3. Facing the difficult problem he had when he was doing his research practice on music history, Carl Dahlhaus had to Carry on the comprehensive inspection and the inquisition about epistemology and methology of music history.After indicating the major reason of the concept of music history by Carl Dahlhaus, the article carried on a rough investigation to the theories background of shape of the concept of music history by Carl Dahlhaus.In the major part of the article, the writer will divide the concept of music history into three sections basing on her announcing the foundation structure of the concept of music history by Carl Dahlhaus. The three sections includes the ontology of music history by Dahlhaus,epistemology of music history by Dahlhaus,and metrology of music history by Dahlhaus. In chapter 4, the writer raised a few questions and thoughts to discussed about appraising the concept of music history by Carl Dahlhaus basing on appraisal of the concept of music history of Carl Dahlhaus by many western and Chinese musicologist .At the conclusion , the writer combined and pondered over the attainment of researching the concept of music history by Carl Dahlhaus and the theory and practice of Chinese Western music historical research. Also, the writer tried to prove that the concept of music history by Carl Dahlhaus is suitable for the studying in Chinese Western musical history.The lodestar of this article is:As a Chinese researcher is always facing the realistic problem such asthe short of first hand information, the limiting of on-the-spot investigation and file work, the dissimilarity between Chinese scholar and Occident scholar on history viewpoint, value and music viewpoint etc.So, it is destined that Chinese researcher is facing the researchful text that be full filled with the specifically historical viewpoint of music of Occident scholar.Therefore, it is important and preexistence that the Chinese researcher had to carry out the comprehension of the historical viewpoint of music that under the text.Basing on full-scale examination and animadversion of western historical viewpoint of music, the concept of music history that Carl Dahlhaus expressed in《Foundation of Music History》had been formed . Obviously, to research this historical viewpoint of music is contributing to promoting the recognition of the traditional western music history, also contributing to renovating the viewpoint of western musical history that we had known and advancing our cognition of the western musical history.Therefore, basing on the concept of music history by Carl Dahlhaus, and finite information and elementary comprehension level, the author did the pilot study to those pre-established issues. |
