Comparative Research Of Independent College Students' Achievement Motivtion And It's Impact Factors

The achievement motivation is the one that impel individual to pursue themselves and complete work, which is considered to be the most important and valuable aspect, and it is a kind of intrinsic strength try to achieve ideality. Inspiring student's academic motivation is an important task which general educator is concerning. To solve this problem must realize what kind of factors affect student's achievement motivation at first. At present, the researches in achievement motivation mostly aim at the ordinary university, less aims at independent colleges.This task takes classical achievement motivation theory as the instruction, adopting questionnaire survey to get research data, using two latitudes which are pursuing success and avoiding defeat as the standard to judgment the degree of achievement motivation. I analyze their achievement motivation's degree correlate with sex, specialty, grade, whether or not singleton, native place and so on. This research obtains primary conclusions include following aspects:(1) There is biggish difference between liberal students and science students.(2) There is no prominent difference between male an female students, no matter the whole or the each part of achievement motivation.(3) There is no prominent difference between singleton and non- singleton, but non-singleton's pursuing success motivation is super than singleton and singleton's avoiding defeat motivation is super than non-singleton.(4) There is prominent difference between each grade in pursuing success and avoiding defeat, and there is prominent difference between city and country students in avoiding defeat motivation.(5) Father's education degree doesn't influence children's achievement motivation observably, but father's occupation influence children's avoiding defeat motivation observably. Mother's education degree doesn't influence children's avoiding defeat motivation, but mother's occupation influence children's avoiding defeat motivation and pursuing success motivation observably.Therefore, the author consider that independent colleges should help students to cognize themselves, establish faithful aims, which according with own and the social development needs, in order to enhance their achievement motivation degree.
