| Recalling the development of 100-year-old film and television, from movie's birth to TV's becoming the beloved of the mass media, the image of women is throughout the process. When mentioned the film works on China's mainland, there are variety female images, such as the charming girls, women with strong and firm will, women with a lively youth, and pretty women with relentless heart. Because at different times and different sectors , the women have different characters. It is for the existence of the image of women, the world no longer makes images tedious . And because of the image of women on the shoulders of women destiny, and the plight of women living in the future ideal thought, we can make through vanity, noisy images that surface each different era for women's recognition.This paper uses the media and gender theory, theories of consumer culture, to focus on the female image of Chinese mainland film and television works in the 8 years of the beginning of the new century. Hoping through the images analysis, I can summarized the status, role and significance of performance of the women from this period women in the film version . And on this basis I want to further explore the deeper social and cultural reasons by why female image was shaped.By using text analysis method, breaking the director classification, the type and classification of the traditional rules, I want to stand in the new century on the position of social reality, and emerged in to the fate of women involved in the TV drama works for the text.I'll read these typical works such as《lost in Beijing》,《Lust, Caution》carefully and thoroughly to collate the pedigree of the women image in the beginning of the new century. Compared to the case of the female film and television works in the 1980's-1990's, I want to know whether the film and TV works in the new century have modeled the women images that are glamorous and have distinctive features of the times, and by what reason were the images modeled. What I also want to know is what is the meaning of the male images in these works to the female. In order to answer these questions above, this paper also introduced the male images in order to deepen our understanding of the causes of mold of the female image. At the end of this article, I come to the conclusion that the movie and TV drama creation in the beginning of the new century is still at a disadvantage, not only in quantity, but also in quality. Women images are still weakened and treated as objects. The traditional male perspective and collective unconscious of the creators are still have a role to play. The Consumer Culture and the media power has placed the female images in the position of a new situation of objectified. In addition, harmonious relations between the sexes is not reflected either, and the relationship between men and women experience a new alienation. In view of this situation, following the conclusion , this paper made recommendations to improve the status above. |
