Modern Packaging design is an art on the basis of culture and life. Whether in theory or in practice, we should treat packaging design as a form of culture. At the same time, the culture of design in modern society has firmly grasped the importance of the visual effects and pursuit.Developing to today's pluralistic era, more good designers began to examine the traditional national culture and the arts in the public mind, to guide the direction of people's life style. To inherit and go ahead of traditional cultural is the only way to explore and develop the local packaging design.Design follows era, focuses on concepts. The application of traditional cultural element in the design of modern packaging must be on the basis of integrating of modern culture. Famous Italian designer Sottsass says: "Keeping tradition is not simply to copy tradition." The innovation of tradition culture is not a Renaissance, but this new awareness of the national culture, a new awareness of the relationship between man and nature in a profound revolution.China is the home of tea, and is the centre of tea culture. For a package of traditional commodity as tea, the author advocates the creative people-oriented design, and strives to explore and learn from traditional Chinese tea culture and spiritual essence, then takes into use in visual communication, morphological model , and other aspects of design.Ethnic style is always the theme of design, this is not only the need of social psychology, but also the need for Chinese packaging design to go abroad.
