Cultural Model Transforming And Its Revelation Of Japan In Modernization

The world has developed more than 60 years after the World War II, and now as the historical wheel has been marching into the 21st century, its new era with the characteristics of informatization has already arrived completely. Under the background of economic globalization, the regional integration is also becoming the intellectual selection to numerous countries. This kind of choice derives from the drive of the economic interests as well as the calculation of political, security and strategic factors. From the aspect of considering Asia's future and further development, in a sense it might be a fact that the hope of Asia depends on East Asia, while the coordination of East Asia lies on China and Japan. If regionalism is a bridge to get nationalism and globalism joined, then East Asia is the Geo-strategy reliance which China relies on to rise. Finally, Japan made itself the first country get rid of the humiliation and oppression of Western nations in Eastern world, and realized the modernization successfully. It became the only Asian country who pushed into the empire powers and built up the colonies outside its own territory, depending on aggression and expansion. Currently, this island country,only covers 370,000 square kilometers, is still the second big economical power in the world. Japanese Meiji Restoration Movement starting in 1868, created a new era of Japanese modern history. It has left us with a broad space for consideration and research that the road of modernized culture reforming has attracted attention since Meiji Restoration Movement and in particular, postwar Japan raises in Asia and the world, succeeding in the realization of modernization in a short-term.This thesis probes into the successful experience and failing lessons caused by Japan's cultural transformation, explores the in-depth reasons triggering Japanese modernization and social-cultural behavior, in order to absorb its development experience, avoid its development risk, and from this to forecast the trend of Chinese culture transformation. Through the studies and research of the cultural transformation of Japanese modernization, we can be enlightened that if we respect the traditions instead of separating them, it will promote the culture transformation better. If the new ideological enlightenment can be initiated, it will be able to gradually transform our culture from the"moral principles first"culture which identified with preferring morality to knowledge, to the culture which unified by scientific and rational spirit and moral perfection spirit. If the intelligentsia dares to undertake the responsibility of leading the culture transformation, it will promptly establish a kind of value guidance system which best conforms to the development of Chinese society modernization in the possibility of various cultural choice and cultural development. If the development risk brought by extreme network nationalism can be avoided rationally, then the road of Chinese"peaceful rise"will be much wider under the instruction of scientific development view.
