| The cultural exchanges between China and Japan enjoy a long history, which date back to 2000 years ago. The cultural exchanges not only have a wide range, but also exert a profound influence on the development of politics, economy, culture, ideology, science etc. between the two countries. The history of cultural exchanges between China and Japan can be divided into two periods.During the long period from ancient time to Ming and Qing dynasty, Japan had been transplanting and learning form Chinese culture. Absorbing China's advanced culture, Japan also try to learn advanced western culture, which become the main stream in that period and play an important role in the formation and development of its society. But in the late Qing dynasty, it's totally changed. Due to the government's corruption and conservative China began to degenerate into a semi-colonial country. While through Meiji Restoration and learning from the west, Japan has access to the world capitalist powers so that the situation is changed. China starts to study and absorb the successful reform experience from Japan, meanwhile to study advanced western culture through Japan. The study of Japan has a significant influence on China's social development. It can be said that the Qing dynasty is an important transformation period in Sino-Japanese cultural exchange pattern.Based on the analysis of Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges at different times in the Qing Dynasty, this thesis expounds the objective laws on cultural exchanges, and proves that the cultural exchanges always transmit from highly developed areas to lowly developed ones, and spread form more advanced areas to more backward regions. The advanced and backward culture is not static, and it's changed according to the historical situation.Meanwhile, the change of Sino-Japanese cultural exchange pattern is not accidental; it is inseparable from its acceptation of western capitalist culture and becoming of modern capitalist country. In accordance with the laws of uneven development of civilization, backward civilization catches up with and transcends advanced civilization is an objective rule ; the original advanced regions or countries study.from those original backward countries which now are more advanced than their own nation is also an objective law. But in the Sino-Japanese relations, the sudden change has its own objective reasons. This article attempts to analyze the changes of Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges in this period, so that it can reveal the reasons that lead to these changes. |
