| Jian Zhen, one of Taiwan's new generation prose writers, rose in fame when she was less than 30.The present paper is divided into three parts.The first chapter focuses on the composing process of her proses, and positioned her prose style as an outstanding representative of female prose and urban prose. Meanwhile, this chapter makes a thorough analysis of the differences of her writing styles, and in particular, it interprets the reasons that cause her writing style to change from optimism to solitude.Taking Inquiries of Water as a case of study, Chapter Two makes a thorough study of the youthfulness and optimism of her early proses.The third chapter takes The Daughter's Coloul-Red as a case of study. It discusses the change of her prose style, and reveals the achievements the change has brought from three aspects—main tone, feelings and writing strategy. |
