| This research is not a fairly new field, but as for contemporary oil paintings of China it is an important research. As the communication of modern world grows closely, and the change of global civilization pattern, Asia has met its new dawn, more and more scholars tend to look at oriental civilization expectantly, including oriental arts and esthetics. Even so, people still inclined to western culture. The history and modern value of oriental civilization didn't got their due scientific evaluation. But nowadays there are still some artistic workers who haven't fully understood them, they just copy and pursue franticly the west, without knowing the importance that what is of China is also that of the world, especially they don't have a clear idea about the innovation problem towards how to keep up China's oil paintings with the times, and this situation is prevalent. At this time, under the two circumstances to do research on this problem again is necessary for improving our artistic quality. This paper attempts to analyze two representative painters of west and China in the late 19th and early 20th, Modigliani and Lin Fengmian, the research of their painting styles changing processes and works to show the precious experiences of modern value of predecessors in their painting lives, through analysis and research it's found the necessity of combining Chinese and western paintings together, while how to look at the successive and innovative issues in paintings affords lessons for contemporary China's oil paintings, and also supplies implications to the developing orientation of modern artists. |
