The compromises made during the process of translation may be ascribed to a translator's role as a mediator between a linguistically valid world and the real world. And it is in this sense we resort to the discipline of logic, which, while ensuring the consistency of a translation, symbolizes the exterior influences exerted upon the language codes of texts. This paper attempts to summarize some typical features—cohesion and coherence—within textual analysis, to set up a preliminary comparison to their counterparts in the realm of logic, and to discuss the mechanism through which a logical sequence of information can be realized. Actually, for the establishment of a"text consciousness", we should gradually foster a pattern of critical thinking.
