| The communication among different cultures has begun from ancient era, which has been of long standing. Up to now, globalization is breaking through the limit of time and space in the course of cultural communication, which provides an open and new horizon for different nations and nationalities, makes the cultures of every nation and nationality released from the former and narrow cultural perspective, and establishes a much broader perspective knowing self and world. In this process, we should conform to the increasing tendency in cultural communication and keep appropriate strain among different cultures in order to surpass the limit of native culture; moreover, we should overcome the cultural obstacles to endeavor to pursuit cultural orientation and attain cultural identity and harmonious development among cultures. Therefore, culture-identity is not only the necessary phenomenon in the process of globalization that needs us to deliberately take it serious, but also the essential way to resolve the development of nation and nationality when we encounter the complexion between traditional culture and modern culture, foreign culture and native culture. In my opinion, culture-identity directly is the problem of identity, but it has the foundation of ontology of culture. Frankly, culture-identity is a personal thing, but in the actual level, it takes the nation and nationality as carrier. The paper attempts to discuss the identity of culture and relative categories through rhetorical examination in culture and identity, further analyze the produce of the cultural identity and the obstacles of the cultural identity in order to find the crisis and its root of cultural identity, criticize the preventions of realizing cultural identity for example the relativism of culture and imperialism of culture through analyzing two kinds of center relationship, namely, between self and the other and between universality and particularity, and finally provide possible ways for cultural identity among multicultural communication through identifying the essential and connotation of cultural-identity in the open and dynamic course. |
