On Study Of Eco-Product Design

The relations between the human and the environment are changing unceasingly along with the human culture development, after the Industrial Revolution, while the industrial design had brought the people the modernized life style and environment, it had accelerated the resources and the energy consumption. In this process, the consumer and the designers started regarding human self-development reconsidering, they also started to discover their own self-localization as well as regarding how to set up the correct attitude toward consumption and self-responsibility. At the same time the laws and regulations also started to participate in, how did the product design even more conform to humanity's sustainable development as well as the more appropriate humanity's survival, then the ecology product design lives on breeding. American design theoretician Victor Papanek had the direct influence to the ecology product design, he proposed the most urgent problem which the humanity were facing. At that time, many a people have not been able to understand his viewpoint, after the energy crisis eruption, ecology product design only then was paid attention and approval by more person. The ecology product design uses the environmental saving and protection as well as taking the environment resources optimization as the core idea of the design procession, it integrates the environmental factor to all the links of the design procession. thus help to make determination of the policy-making direction of design management. It requests us must to consider all the natural factor such as the environment, the ecology and so on in all the stages of product development, reduce the influence to the environment from the entire product life cycle, utilize the corresponding environment to appraise the tool to take the assistance, thus finally induce to a production and expense system which with more sustainance. This article studies in the domestic and foreign ecology product design theory, with this foundation, we introduce the ecology product design concept, the life cycle appraisal and the environmental appraisal tools and so on; The ecology product design correspondingly choose the lower influence materials, the optimal production technology,the retailing system and the initial life cycle, then the strategies of the optimal system. And unify the concrete different type product design example, like the packing, the spinning and weaving, the building and so on, carry on the analysis with the system idea and the method, has promulgated two aspect contents, one is coordinating with the nature, adapting the only correct relations between the human and nature naturally, but it is not the passive adaptation to display human's subjective initiative to adapt to nature. The other is, because the urbanized construction procession inevitably have the destructive effect to the ecological environment, we must to establish the ecosystem which adapting to the artificial restoration nature and the man-power nature, namely carries on the compensation. Thus we may summarize it as the ecology compatible product design and the ecology adaptation of product design.
