Study On Conjunction In XinBianWuDaiShiPingHua

"Xinbian Wudaishi Pinghua"is a full-length narrative works, its version and age are more reliable , its degree of spoken language is relatively high, its space is morderate,it is of great value in the study of Yuan Dynasty . Function word and word order are the main means of syntax in Chinese, and the conjunction is an important parts of function word , so we select the conjunction of"Xinbian Wudaishi Pinghua"for the study.The research methods are the exhaustive description, quantitative analysis, history comparison and so on.In this paper, 102 conjunctions of"xinbian wudaishi pinghua"are divided into two major categories based on the meaning of the conjunction ,a joint relationship and the modification of the relationship . And then separate 4 categories from the joint relationship, compound, continuity, option, progress, etc.Followed by separate 7 categories from modification relations,supposition, turning point, fact concession, supposed concession,cause and result, condition, purpose etc. There are 11 classes of conjunctions in total. In this paper, conjunctions of these 11 categories are described in detail in order to fully show the general appearance of the conjunction in"Xinbian Wudaishi Pinghua".we select four terms to summarized characteristics. In the use of the ways ,the conjunction which only can be used independently are 60, only can be used in pairs are 14 ,can be used in both way are 28,therefore, the conjunction which only can be used independently are the most; In the syllable structure , the monosyllabic conjunctions are 54,count 1133 examples,two-syllable conjunctions are 48, count 155 examples, the number of monosyllabic conjunctions are close to two-syllable , but in terms of the number of examples , monosyllabic conjunctions are dominant; As for the language units that conjunctions connect , conjunctions which only can be used in sinmple sentence are 8 , only can be used in complex sentence are 86,can be used in both sentence are 8,the conjunctions which only can be used in complex sentence are dominant; As for the location in the syntax, conjunctions that can connect the clause or sentence which have the subject are 62 , conjunctions which are located in front of the subject are 43 , conjunctions which are located after the subject are 10 ,other 9 Conjunctions can be located in both way.In this paper,we also compare"Xinbian Wudaishi Pinghua"with"Dunhuang bianwenji", We select the option and supposition Conjunctions which are distinctive types in the two works ,and then we carry out the historical comparision.
