The Research On The Ming And Qing Lacquer

The most important meaning of studying the Ming and Qing lacquer is to inherit and innovate the research concepts. Through researching the Ming and Qing lacquer, the artistic essences as well as traditional cultural essences are realized and recognized. This research can provide some references and develpoments for studying the mordern lacquer arts, and it is the most important key of this paper. Therefore, it is a comprehensive, profound and systematic research that four main studying aspects are included, they are: the causes and developments, the painting crafts, the decorative patterns of the Ming and Qing lacquer and the impacts on the modern lacquer.In the causes and developments of the Ming and Qing lacquer research, the literature, comparison, analysis and synthesis methods were used to analysis the relationship between the political as well as economic enviroments and the casues and developments of the Ming and Qing lacquer arts. Through studying the transformation of the internal and external factors, the development and evolution disciplinarians of the Ming and Qing lacquer were grasped.In the painting crafts research, the literature, comparison, analysis and synthesis methods were used to analysis the lacquer carving crafts, mother-of-pearl inlaid crafts, muti-precious objects lnlaid crafts, Ningpo varnish crafts and dyeing crafts comprehensivly and systematicly, then the features and innovative technologies were summarized.In the decorative patterns research, a serious of literatures related to lacquer in Ming and Qing Dynasties were collected and summaried. Through analizing classifying the decorative patterns, finally five types of patterns, such as dragon and phoenix patterns, religious patterns, flower and bird patterns and landscape and figure patterns, were concluded, and the artistic characteristics of lacquer development were also definited.In the impacts of the Ming and Qing lacquer on the modern ones research, the literature, comparison, analysis and synthesis methods were used. Three aspects, such as practical value, decorative style and the use of materials, were researched to reveal the guidelines to the modern lacquer. A view brought out that the modern lacquer arts should inherit the traditional essences and develop with the time past, so that the lacquer arts in our country can have a brilliant tomorrow.This paper has researched the following aspects: the causes and developments, the painting crafts, the decorative patterns of the Ming and Qing lacquer and the impacts on the modern lacquer. Through summarying and analysising the art achievements of the Ming and Qing lacquer comprehensivly and systematicly, the revelations to the modern lacquer arts were received. This paper will strengthen the understanding to the Ming and Qing lacquer, and it will provide a certain reference value to solve the interrupted problem of China's traditional lacquer history, also it will contribute to study our country's traditional handicraft theory.
