The interaction between emotion and attention is the focus and hot spot in the study of relationship between emotional and cognitive in recent decades. The researchers at home or abroad usually take the anxiety individuals and the individual with clinical anxiety disorder mostly as subject in the correlate research. These researches usually had been run in the normal emotional state. The researchers have obtained different results. But the same conclusion at present is that the anxiety individuals would show an attentional bias on the negative (threatening) information. They not only have drawn a series of related theories and mechanisms based on the study result, but also attempt to applicate them for clinical.Previous study conducted in the normal emotion, but the reportes of attentional bias and its mechanism under a particular emotional state has rarely be found. In a particular emotional state,What is the relation between trait anxiety and attentional bias? What is the mechanism of attentional bias probably?Whether or not the attentional bias has a difference between normal emotion and a particular emotional state? In order to further explore and recognize the relationship between attentional bias and anxiety,it is necessary to study at a particular level of emotional state.Reviewed the past study of attentional bias,we do not see the military factors. As we all know that the fear is a common emotional experience in fighting. So we should study the attentional bias of the trait anxiety individual under fear emotion to contribute to future emotion regulation applied to the military aspect. Therefore, for basic research of attentional bias depther as well as to introduce military factors into research,it is necessary to study the attentional bias of high and low trait anxiety individuals when they are under induced fear emotion.Related literature has reported that high anxiety individuals would show attentional bias to negative (threatening) information, but in the normal population of individuals with low trait anxiety would show a attentional bias or avoidance to emotional faces? Under induced fear emotion, the high trait anxiety individuals would still show the attentional bias phenomenon?whether the low trait anxiety individuals would also show attentional bias? What is the attentional bias mechanism? To compare with normal emotion, what would the fear-induced emotion effect on attentional bias?In order to answer these questions,we select emotional faces with high ecological validity as stimulating material and use dot probe task to study attentional bias of high-and low-anxiety individuals under normal emotional or fear-induced emotions respectively. Objective:To investigate the attentional bias and its possible mechanisms in subjects with high-trait and low-trait anxiety when they are under normal or induce-fear emotion. Methods:The study selected high-and low-trait anxiety subjects by using the TAI questionnaire.By watching neutral or fear Videos respectively, the subjects complete the experiment under normal emotional or fear-induced emotional. In a modified dot-probe task with emotional faces as stimulus, individuals had to judgement target. The attentional bias under normal or induce-fear emotion to the emotional faces was examined.Data were analyzed by SPSS11.5 Program.Result:1.High anxious individuals showed attentional bias to the negative faces when they were under normal or induce-fear emotion(D=9.31±23.36,t=2.147,P=0.041;D=10.61±24.35,t=2.264,P=0.032),and the disengaging index was significant(DI=14.86±23.43,t=3.416,P=0.002;DI=11.98±25.06,t=2.485,P=0.020). 2. Low anxious individuals showed attentional avoidance to the negative faces when they were under normal emotion(D=-11.09±25.40,t=-2.391,P=0.024),and the orienting index was significant(OI=-20.28±22.90,t=-4.850,P<0.001).However,low anxious individuals tended to show attentional bias to the negative faces when they were under induce-fear emotion(D=3.73±25.28,P>0.05),and the disengaging index was significant(DI= 15.23±27.63,t=2.968,P=0.006).Conclusions:1.High anxious individuals showed attentional bias to the negative faces when they are under normal or induce-fear emotion, relating to disengagement difficulties.2.Low anxious individuals under normal emotion showed attentional avoidance to the negative faces, relating to speed of orienting. However, low anxious individuals under induce-fear emotion tended to show attentional bias to the negative faces, relating to disengagement difficulties.
