The Research Of The Visual Recognition Of Sign Design

As a cross design subject, Sign Design was born around two decades on behalf of the 20th centry, it's mainly for regular orders, making life more convenient, and widely used around the world in nowadays。Sign design contains information and media facilities, it transmits information effeciently in particular places, so the study of visual identity has a great practical meaning to the sign design.This thesis analyzes and researches the visual recognition of sign design from three parts: one, the cross-disciplinary of subjects and the development of science are the chance for the ground-breaking development of sign design. Different scientific fields have different views about the conception of sign design, there for, the definition of the conception of sign design has an innovative meaning, the description of the category, characteristic and status make the special meaning of sign design's being a cross-desciplinary subject easier to understand. Two, the basic problem of visual recognition of sign design is also the basic research of design theory, the form constitution is the theory that is used to analyze the visual recognition elements of sign design, it's mainly combined with symbols, color preference recognition, space environment recognition, functional information recognition. Three, the constitution of sign design elements has a aesthetic meaning, design is a practial art, combining function and aesthetic is the final purpose of deisgn in any cases, as a result, analyzing the visual recognition result of the sign design in different environment is the only way to verfy the function.By researching visual theories such as design art, art symbol aesthetic, communication etc, analyzing the principle of sign design, then studying ergonomics, environmental psychology, behavioral psychology, in order to make recommendations to the law and trend of sign design, the thesis makes a new way for sign design by combining function and aesthetic, widened the concept and idea of sign design, the thesis should have a good preferencing value for the research of the sign design and related fields.
