Recently, many researches have been focusing on the development and influential factors of young children's inhibitory control. Inhibitory Control, IC, refers to an ability by which an individual inhibits his respond to an irrelevant he pursues cognitive representations. Based on former research, this study is to discuss the possible relations among preschoolers' inhibitory control, self-control and peer interaction.90 preschoolers aged 3, 4 and 5 years completed all experimental tasks. All of them experienced the DCCS, the Day/Night task and Red/Green light task. Meanwhile, the teacher who is in charge of the class finished the questionnaire of Teacher Rating Scale of Children's Self-control and Teacher Rating Scale of peer interaction. The results of this research are as follows:1 Young children's inhibitory control develops as their age changes, but 4 year-old is a critical stage for inhibitory control development. The performance of 4 year-old children on IC tasks is much better than that of 3 year-olds, and the performance of 5 year-old children on IC tasks is much better than that of 4 year-olds ; Here was a highly significant positive relation among performance on the three measures of inhibitory control—the DCCS, the Day/Night task and Red/Green light task .2 Young children's self-control develops as their age changes, but young children's peer interaction don't develops as their age changes.3 There exists significant correlation between the development of young children's inhibitory control and the self-control. This correlation is still robust if such factors as age, gender are controlled.4 There exists significant correlation between the development of young children's inhibitory control and peer interaction. This correlation is still robust if such factors as age, gender are controlled. It can be predictive, according to the result of regression analysis, that children's IC indirectly guides their daily peer interaction.5 There are no gender differences in children" IC development, self-control and peer interaction.
