Implicit Mood-congruent Memory Of Depression Individual On End-word Test

The relation between emotion and memory,especially the effect of emotion to memory,has been the widespread issue in the field of cognitive psychology.The research focused on explicit memory before,such as recall,recognition and so on.In recent years,the research of implicit memory has been a hot topic.By this,we could understand the relation between emotion and memory more broadly,mood-congruent memory is one ways basically of the discussion on the relation between emotion and memory,Mood is the faint,continued emotion.The research aims at the effect of mood to implicit memory.To investigate the effect of undergraduate students' mood to their implicit memory, we had done two successful experiments by the application of the process dissociation procedure(PDP)and task dissociation procedure.The first experiment's materials were composed of double word of high and low frequency,the design was 2(group)×3(word frequency)×2(test type),In the experiment,there were three sessions,study,interruption task and test,The purpose is the separation of consciousness and unconsciousness.Based on Experiment 1,Experiment 2's materials were composed of Emotional words,the design was 2(group)×3(emotional words),The purpose is researching on depression and normal individuals' differences of memory in emotional word.The results showed:1,Incidental and intentional learning influences extraction of constituents. Automatic extraction of constituents under the incidental learning is more than awareness extraction of constituents.2,Word frequency affects the awareness extraction without affecting the automatic extraction.3,End-word test has automatic extraction of constituents,but their proportion depends on the processing level of the study phase,automatic extraction of constituents lower than awareness extraction of constituents at intentional learning,and opposite under incidental learning.4,There exists implicit mood-congruent memory of depression individual on end-word test.5,Verify the migration of appropriate processing theory,when the type of levels of processing is to match between study and test,(here are perceptual encoding/perceptual test),there will be mood-congruent memory.6,The individual difference of cognitive style exists between non-clinical depression and normal individual.Depressed individuals tend to remember negative events,and normal individuals tend to remember the positive case.
