During the years of DaoGuang and XianFeng, Cheng Enze and Qi Junzao promoted the poetry style that was created by Du Fu, Han Yu, Su Shi and Huang Tingjian. Cheng Enze and Qi Junzao tried their to change the weak and superficial poetry style which was widesead in the years of QianLong and JiaQing. The adherents of Cheng Enze such as He Shaoji, Zheng Zhen, Mo Youzhi and the Famous Officials during the Tongzhi period such as Zeng Guofan, who pushed the Song Poetry campaign to a climax together. He Shaoji was the delegate of the Song Poetry faction, whose theories were more famous than poem by the long-term. This is the one reason of why He Shaoji did not draw the full attentions of academics. In fact, He as a giant of traditional culture which include verse and painting, archaeology and paleography, is a general-type figure. At the same time, he wanted to benefit society and promote Shi theory. He Shaoji who was worried his motherrland, was a radical minister in that period.His poetics absorbs the traditional advantages of Poetry and merits of four poetics that were famous in Qing dynasty, which was the outstanding theory of Song Poetry faction in the years of Dao Guang and XianFeng. His poetry is humane rich and varied, imitating the poetry style of Su Shi, and He Zhaoji was the excellent successor in the late Qing Dynasty. His artistic achievement in poetry is second only to Zheng Zhen.This paper bases the background that the late Qing Dynasty declined and the academia in that time faced the changing in nature. According to the analysis of his ideological trends, poetry advocating, poetry achievements, this paper announces He Shaoji's stature and significance in the Song Poetry faction and even in the entire history of modern poetry.
