| Social anxiety is defined that the individual fears of being concerned or evaluated,and fears that they will make a fool of oneself or behavior- embarrassed in public or social situations. And negative self-evaluation is evaluated, consequently experiencing the tension and discomfort,while showing evasive behavior at every turn.Nowadays,the mental health condition of Chinese undergraduate students becomes increasing important. Social anxiety, is the one of the major psychological problems,which has the characteristics of high incidence,long duration and impacting of the achievements of college students and interpersonal harmony.This study is to compare the effects of two interventional methods: group-based intervention and cognitive behavioral intervention.The object of this study is to explore whether psychological interventions is an effective treatment for social anxiety on the basis of investigating the general state of social anxiety of college students, and to compare the effects of cognitive behavioral group intervention and behavioral group intervention.The thesis includes two studies:Study I is an investigation study on 440 collegeStudents'social anxiety state with the Social Avoidance and Distress Scale (SAD). The results showed that the proportion of college students of social anxiety was about 40.45%.And there were significant differences in terms of gender,subject,grade and whether the one-child.Besides, the Social Avoidance and Distress Scale (SAD): had a good reliability and validity.Study II is a group intervention study of college students with social anxiety. The results showed that: cognitive-behavioral group intervention and behavioral group intervention were significant differences on the various evaluation indicators. In the post-test, there were significant differences between the two groups in Social Avoidance and Distress Scale (SAD).The follow-up post-test results showed that there were significant differences in social skills and avoidance behavior between the two groups in the self-assessment,and the shyness in his commentary reached the significant level.The results of this study show as follows:(1)Through the investigation, the social anxiety of college students accounted for nearly half of the total number,so it is a serious problem.(2)The Social Avoidance and Distress Scale (SAD) has a good reliability and validity, and can be used as an effective tool of measuring the issue of social anxiety of college students.(3)These two group interventional methods both improve the mental condition of participants with social anxiety,and there is significant difference effects between them.(4)For the short-term effects,the behavior group intervention is better than cognitive-behavioral group intervention.(5)For the long-term effect,cognitive behavioral group intervention is superior to behavioral group intervention. |
