The Economic Communications During The Period Of Paying Tribute To The Court Between Han Dynasty And The Huns

The Huns was one of the important nationalities that bordering the Han Dynasty. According to the changing of the two nations' strength, the Huns and Han Dynasty were enemies at the early stage, and then became friendly nations with equal positions after the policy of marriage between the imperial families of each other. After the Chanyu Huhanye (呼韩邪单于)----the leader of the Huns at that moment----succumbed tothe Western Han Dynasty, the Huns became a vassal state of the Western Han Dynasty, and then the Huns turned to be one part of the Eastern Han Dynasty gradually. Innovatively, this paper names the historical period of the time when the Huns and Han Dynasty were friendly nations with equal positions "the early period of Han Dynasty paying tribute to the Huns" ; and calls the historical period of the time when the Huns became a vassal state and then a part of Han Dynasty "the late period of the Huns paying tribute to Han Dynasty" . During that two periods, the two nations always have economic communications; however, there are distinctive features of different periods.On the basic of the research results of predecessors, the writer of this paper selects and seeks to prove some historical data, reads the contemporary works and thesis for reference, uses the Marxist materialist view of history, insists the principle of equality in order to contrast, analyzes and summarizes the different forms, aims and influences of the economic communications between the Huns and Han Dynasty during "the early period of Han Dynasty paying tribute to the Huns" and "the late period of the Huns paying tribute to Han Dynasty" objectively.There are three parts in this paper. The first part is thepreface of the whole paper; the second part is the main bodywith three chapters in it. Chapter I is about the form of theeconomic communication between the Huns and Han Dynasty during"the period of Han Dynasty paying tribute to the Huns" and"the period of the Huns paying tribute to Han Dynasty" . InChapter II, the aims of the economic communication between the Huns and Han Dynasty during "the period of Han Dynasty paying tribute to the Huns" and "the period of the Huns paying tribute to Han Dynasty" are discussed. What' s more, the influence of the economic communication between the Huns and Han Dynasty during "the period of Han Dynasty paying tribute to the Huns" and "the period of the Huns paying tribute to Han Dynasty" are presented in Chapter III ; and the last part is the conclusion.
