Study Of Myths About Shooting The Sun In Language Of Chinese Zhuang And Dong

Myths about shooting the sun are a worldwide type of the myth in the World. Its number is A716.1 in Stith Thompson's "Motif Index of Folk Literature". And its are named the cultural heroes shooting down the sun. Its include the mother of two central motifs: First, emergencing of a number of the suns or moons; Second, eliminating redundant suns or mooms. The myths of shooting the sun are popular in all ethnic groups in China. The paper try to reveal its morphological structures and implications of cultural information about shooting the sun myths in the Zhuang and Dong language through the synthesis, analysis, comparison, summarization , which is based on the writing text information of Zhuang and Dong 37 different myth texts , then explore its prototype of religious ceremonies.This paper is divided into four parts: introduction,body,conclusion and appendices. Introduction includes the purpose of study,the origin of research,the summary of relevant research at home and abroad and its study purposes and methods,the interpretation of the relevant terminologies. The body includes the following three aspects: First of all, I analyse the myths at the level of language morphological structure using the folk art motif morphological theory and analysis.This paper extract 10 motifs and 6 plot units to 37 different text of the myths in Zhuang and Dong . I draw a tree structure to shese myths based on Mr. Liu Kuili tree structure in"tree of life folk narrative - Zhejiang Modern'dog farming'stories",and sum up 5 types of variations . Secondly,I interpret the myths using mythology and anthropology theory. From the unique national characteristics four types of myths ,I sum up three cultural themes, then explain its cultures one by one. Its are as follows: First, the revenge for sons myth relects the ancient culture of the refractive index of rice; second rooster calling on the sun and the sun revenge-type show the ecological awareness of harmonious coexistence of man and nature; thirdly promises - Reneging on its promises type indicates the people vent in changes of socio-economic and moral aspirations . Finally, the paper try to explore the prototype of these Zhuang and Dong myths on the basis of the foregoing study. According to James George Frazer's view that the relationship between myth and magic is closely , I try to reveal its controling sun's witchcraft in the ancient time through analysing the witchcraft factor in the myths.In the last part,I summ up the research and point out the shortcomings.
