| As a violin educator, Professor Zhinuo Ding made an outstanding contribution in her teaching life for nearly five decades. This exegesis has revealed the art life of Prof. Ding from three periods: her youth time- the ideal of nationalization of the violin, the period of reform and opening up - the worldwide pedagogical philosophy and now as a community educator, trying to understand the formation of Ding's educational thought from the origin of her life. Prof. Ding gradually accumulated precipitation; sum up experience from the beginning of the eighties of last century. She has prepared more than ten pieces of teaching materials. Firstly, the history of the development of the violin teaching materials has been reviewed in this article, and the violin teaching materials in contemporary education has been reflected, and then Prof. Ding's violin teaching concept has been commented. Secondly, start from the perspective of her teaching materials, her teaching ideas and structure has been understood via her characteristic teaching materials, her teaching features and style had been analyzed. Prof. Ding has been writing continually. She had considerable papers, reviews, musical score and other works, and trained a large number of outstanding students. Except displaying her teaching achievement, this article also discussed about her teaching extension outside the college education, as well as her thinking and concerns about the development of the violin education.This paper is the first time a comprehensive description of the art life and violin teaching of Zhinuo Ding, and also a good summary of the teaching experience and research achievement of the older generation of educators. The author has been a student follow Prof. Ding for more than five years, especially starting in 2006 as a Master student major in violin pedagogy under Prof. Ding's guidance. Nearly 300 hours of individual classes of personal experience, three years of investigation and research on violin pedagogy, day-to-day interview of Prof. Ding, as well as the visits of her colleagues, assistants and students, in particular, the study of the article and works of Prof. Ding and the valuable information provided by Prof. Ding herself gave author the first hand material for this article. In the research of the teaching material, the author utilized the method of analysis and comparison, trying to be more objective and comprehensive to summarize and describe the art of Prof. Ding's violin pedagogy. |
