Based on the information processing theory and the analyzing of cognitive process, this study developed a new set General Cognitive Ability Test Battery, including six sub-tests: Graph inferring, object matching, computation, string contrasting, number arranging, number matching. The six sub-tests surveyed inferring ability, perception ability, work memory ability, the speed of information processing, attention ability and planning ability separately. Besides, we also developed the job performance questionnaire.The main results are as followings:1. The General Cognitive Ability Test Battery and job performance questionnaire is proved to have a good reliability and validity.2. There is no significant differences between male and female students, workers in the total score and sub-test score of this General Cognitive Ability Test Battery. But the differences between A/B class students and ordinary workers/managers are very significant.3. The correlation between the total score of General Cognitive Ability Test Battery and the total score of job performance questionnaire is very significant(r=0.528**).4. The correlations between the total score of General Cognitive Ability Test Battery and the total score of job performance questionnaire are different among different job position.
