| The paper selects the basic gustatory adjectives as a research object. The detailed analysis and study has been carried on the base of quantities of obtained language facts from the different aspects. The basic gustatory adjectives are first defined in the paper from the linguistics aspect. Then the painstaking description of these adjectives proceeds all-sidely, which researches into the syntax and semantic function on gustatory adjectives in particular, attempts to reflect on the their syntax and semantic property comprehensively. The paper is divided into six chapters:Chapterl Introduction:First the chapter reviews and analyzes the researches on gustatory adjectives, pointing out that previous scholar on the very study concentrated on the common adjectives'categories, functions, etc. While little special study on the gustatory adjectives is involved, merely little scattered mentioned in some related documentary material. The chapter proposes topic's signification, the theory and research methods that are applied in the paper and the corpus as well.Chapter2 The range and definition of the basic gustatory adjectives in Modern Chinese:Confirm the range of basic gustatory adjectives that are studied in the paper. Classify the sense of taste simply from the aspect of general, practical and physiology in the first step, observe it from the science angle. In the chapter "sour, sweet, bitter, peppery, salty" are defined as the basic gustatory adjectives.Chapter3 Syntactic analysis of basic gustatory adjectives:represent their syntactic functions as different components, such as attribute, predicator, adverbial, complement, subject and object. In the same chapter the study is also on institutionalization of "V+苦","苦+V"and"AA味+V","A味+å¾—+è¡¥".The part that analyzes gustatory adjectives when they are used as adverbial lays great stress on "bitter".Chapter4 Semantic property of basic gustatory adjectives and its restraint on syntactic functions:concluded the semantic property of basic gustatory adjectives; the influence on the syntactic functions,connotations; places stress on several issues such as the dynamicness of gustatory adjectives in"动è¯+å¾—+A+点儿","A味+了,ç€,过", "V+A味+了"and"ä¸+A味".Chapter5 Syntactic and semantic property analysis of "sour":Huge push on the description of "sour" in its syntactic and semantic property. The paper makes an attempt to achieve a systematic analysis on the basic monosyllabic gustatory adjectives from the two aspects mentioned above. And by taking "sour" as example, gives a view on expansion or transfer of meaning, consider the influence on lexical signification transfer influenced by synaesthesia.Chapter6 Conclusion:summarize the main points of the paper, the problem that needs further pursuit, and inadequacies of the paper. |
